I received an email from Kimball Roundy the other day inviting me to the funeral services for the SpiderWeb Marketing System. It is deceased. What???
If you go to the site it has in big letters overlaid over the title "deceased".

No they haven't cut and run. They are re-inventing themselves, making innovations to the system. This is their way of hinting that something really big and new is about to be born. They are good, the videos they offered were great and really taught you how to use the programs they featured. I learned how to use Adwords and that in itself was huge for me.

I just realized it's August 26, 2009. Summer is almost over, and fall is just around the corner. I can't believe it. I'll have to start pulling out the winter clothes soon, get them ready, you know put them in the dry cleaners, freshen them up.

Time to spruce up and get ready for my fall niche. I do have a fall niche. It's Halloween costumes, party costumes, any type of costume for any event.

That's the great thing about Spiderweb, it teaches you not to put all your eggs in one basket, instead you should have several baskets so that if one ends, you have more to depend on.

I Can't Believe It.....

I can't believe I've been away from my blog this long. It seemed like only yesterday that I just updated it. Where does the time go? I've been so busy promoting, I forgot to post. Well I'll try and make up for that right now.

I'm still promoting SpiderWeb Marketing because in a sense they are the ones who got me interested in the internet marketing and making money online.

Since SpiderWeb Marketing which gave me the incentive and courage to go out and try other things, I've learned a great deal. If you've seen from my previous posts, I've been a busy bee and I'm still trying other things. If they don't work, at least they didn't for me, you won't find them on my blog. I won't promote anything that will take your money, and leave you floundering. I've run into far too many of these on the internet. Some are good products and could be profitable but only if you're a programming expert and are familiar with html editing and so forth.

So I hope you've found my blog posts helpful.

I just attended an internet conference today. As with any business on the internet, you can get thousands of hits on your website or websites, but if no one buys, what is it? Non-profitable. That's one of the reasons why I like SpiderWeb Marketing, it explains about one of the marketing techniques, and that's Google Adwords. It explains in-depth how to set up a Google Adwords account and how to use it. They show you how to set up your SpiderWeb Marketing site and what keywords to use, gives you a list of key words already to insert into Google Adwords, and how to set your budget. As I said in my previous post, I don't have alot of money to spend on this, but if you can afford it, it can help get your site seen and ranked on Google. But, you have to watch your budget, don't get in over your head. In a previous post, I explained how the bidding for key words is a negotiating type of deal.

I'm re-energized now and looking forward to promoting the streams of income SpiderWeb Marketing offers. I'm still a fan of SpiderWeb Marketing, if for nothing more than the detail video training you receive for free and Self-Bank Mobile, which I believe is going to be huge. My advice, join SpiderWeb Marketing and get the education, then go an apply it. This is what I'm doing, applying the things I've learned from SpiderWeb Marketing.

No One Is Buying...Anything

I've tried, I've clicked, and I've promoted with Adwords. But what do you do when no one buys anything? I'm discouraged, but not beaten, at least not yet anyway. SpiderWeb does not teach you this. SpiderWeb paints a more successful picture. All you have to do is do this and you'll have loads of money rolling in. That's not true, and alot of people are finding this out. The one's that are successful, I mean really successful, I bet don't tell you how much they are spending on advertising. If you're on a tight budget like me, you can't afford even $5 or $10 a day on Adwords ($150 - $300), please that's a bill payment.

Well, I'll keep trying for now. Just a little down right now.

If you're surfing...this is what you need

Are you surfing the free manual traffic exchanges? or just love to surf the net in general? Are you one of the adventurous types or just curious about that site with the tantilizing advertising? Then you need extra protection. We are all more susceptible to malware. Viruses designed to cause malicious damage to your computer or just be plain annoying. My friend who is a computer fanatic, told me about this program. His computer was infected from the floor up. His computer was infected by malware viruses, every anti-virus program he tried failed to delete all the viruses, including Norton and McAfee. He tried the free programs as well such as AVG. Still no luck. He happened upon Malwarebytes. He tried it. It removed viruses he didn't know he had. My friend was absolutely delighted. He called me up and raved about this program and about how good it was. He talked about it for about 5 minutes, 5 minutes going on and on about how this program deleted viruses such as the verondu (I'm probably spelling it wrong, I didn't think to ask him to spell it) but it was removed cleanly and quickly. Malwarebytes found 127 viruses and infections that Norton, McAfee and AVG did not remove. It even helped reduce alot of his annoying pop ups.

His testimonial was so convincing I just had to become an affiliate. Another SpiderWeb Marketing concept, try other things. So here it is, Malwarebytes. It offers that extra protection that the more popular brand names can't and at less the cost. Norton costs about $49, Malwarebytes about $25. GDI Update

I just received my first monthly residual check from GDI for $29.

Does not seem like much you say, but it is the first of many I hope.

I know alot of people are becoming dissillusioned by GDI, not about the product; the product is very good, but due to difficulty of getting sign ups. It's not like people are standing in line to sign up for GDI, you have to work at it, put some elbow grease into it and be patient. You have to really work at it and wait more than a few months. GDI and Spiderweb both give you the impression that all you have to do is put your referral links out there and boom, your sign ups will be coming out of the wood works. Not happening, at least not for me and alot of other GDI members.

But I'm taking the advice of one of the GDI top leaderboard referrers, Tissa, who recommended that I be patient and wait; it takes time to be seen. Well I'm still promoting GDI on the traffic exchanges, free classifieds, on my squidoo lens, and I'm being patient.

Being patient means not looking at the GDI website everyday to see if there are sign ups, if there are you will get an email from GDI notifying you. As I've been told, ..."a watched pot never boils". So I'm going to wait for my pot to let me know when it starts to boil. If you keep looking everyday, you'll become more frustrated when you don't see sign ups. Just keep promoting and only look in every few days if you just have to look.

I have my first residual check in hand $29.00. Yeah!

Just a Thought

I've decided to take just a small moment to offer an observation.

Why do we let online advertisers and sellers get away with things we wouldn't dream of allowing with a brick and mortar location?

Example: Company XXX is offering a fantastic sale on electronic equipment. Say for instance, a new flat screen TV, price is 50% less than the competitors. Great, you go in, TV looks great, has all the bells and whistles. You purchase the TV. Just before they load it in your car, the salesperson says, if you want to enhance your viewing pleasure, for an additional $$$ we'll include the "ON" button. Now if you were at a brick and mortar store, one of several things would happen:

1) You would stand there in shock and want to know why the "ON" button was not automatically included;

2) Demand that the "ON" button be included at no additional charge.

3) If that didn't happen, call the salesperson and the company he works for, names that question both their parentage. Allow them to know in no uncertain terms what you think of them and their family trees and family behaviors.

4) Cancel the sale immediately, in no uncertain terms. Walk away vowing never to return.

5) Tell all your family and friends about what just happened, and tell them never to go to that store.

But our attitudes to online seem to be entirely different. Is it the virtual existence that somehow dampens our usual sense of outrage or indignation when we are not treated with the respect we deserve as a customer?

No more having to mail the document and waiting days for it to get there, it will be there in a matter of minutes. I remember when I first saw the fax machine about 20+ years ago, the thing was huge in size, it was about the size of a big shredder. A copier company had invited our business to tour their facility and one of the things I saw was the fax machine.

When the representative showed us the fax machine and told us what it would be capable of doing, I looked at that big bulky thing and thought to myself how we could utilize that technology. No more having a messenger run between buildings or remote locations to take important information, just send a facsimile. It wasn't called a fax machine then. It was called a facsimile machine. No more having to mail information through the post office and having to wait days for it to be received. I saw the potential in that big bulky, unattractive looking machine. The thing was over 3 ft tall, about 2.5 ft wide, and cost a few thousand dollars.

Even though I saw the potential, and I even wondered briefly how I could become invested in this machine, wonder who I could talk to about it, I did absolutely nothing. I listened to others who told me, people don't want copies of their paperwork, it was a gimmicky thing, it wouldn't catch on. It had limited application. I did nothing. Nothing. Where is the fax machine now? I knew it had potential and I did nothing.

Well not this time. I'm going to be in on the ground floor of this one, come win or lose, I'm not missing out on this one. I got people again, shaking their heads, not believing that anything could come of this, waste of time, I get the half knowing smiles, the humor her smiles. Comments like there are already established methods of paying or purchasing items. No one is going to use their cell phone to make purchases or pay their bills, it'll be a novelty, won't be enough merchants. I remember when no one had a fax machine, where are they now. They're all over the place.

I got that same feeling about this that I got with the fax machine. The company has been holding regular webinars for people who are signing up as affiliates. If you saw the site back in May when they first presented it to us and what it looks like now, you'll be blown away too. They are moving on this. It's still in pre-launch, getting the word out "whisper campaign", nothing works yet while it's in pre-launch but this is the opportunity to get in now. I'm really excited about this. I've been promoting like crazy, and after this last webinar I'm even more fired up.

Automated EZWealthBuilder - EZWealthMaker Update

This is something I decided to try on my own. I'm now regretting to a certain extent getting involved in this one. When I first started promoting, I was very excited, and very optimistic about it's potential. It made some sense to me. But, I'm a week into this and now I have reservations.

It requires you to sign up for a twitter account, no problem. Did I mention, I signed up for the trial version, which is significantly cheaper, $4.97, for a 14-day trial, with the remainder of the $77 per month fee to be billed at the end of the trial, if I don't cancel. I wanted to test drive this baby before I bought it. It offered videos telling me how to get started and what they would do for me for the $77 per month. Well they say there is no difference between the $4.97 14-day trial and the $77 per month subscription. The trial has the full subscription rights. I'm not so sure, and since no one I know is signed up, I can't compare.

My apprehension, which is just my apprehensive nature, is I've been suspended from twitter. Suspended from a site I had never been associated with until I joined AWB. Now I'm suspended. The reason given by twitter, strange activity, and 15 reports of spam from other profiles there. Now I have never spammed a day in my life as far as I know, and this is the first instance where I know of this happened. Well, outside of a misunderstanding at a Freebie Site; which I think was actually entrapment. The person posted they couldn't get anyone to trade with them and wish someone would trust them enough to help them get a trade going. Softhearted me, I pm'd them, they asked to be pm'd, which I did and bam, I'm banned for a week. It was a bogus comment set to trap scammers, people who like to prey on honest freebie site members. I'm back in now, but, I lost my trust in the site, no warning, no chance to find out what it was I was supposed to have done; go in one day and you are banned until such and such a date. I used to love going there, enjoyed it emmensely, enjoyed participating in the forums, posting topics, responding to topics. I loved it. When they did that, they took something out of it for me. I got so paranoid, I didn't know if I should respond to something or not for fear of being banned. Oops, I got off-topic, maybe I'll do another blog about how to do freebie sites, include everything I learned the hard way. I still like the freebie sites though, biggest opportunity to make money fairly quickly, money goes directly into your paypal account. I will probably go back.

Back to AWB, I was recently banned from twitter, and I had only been there a week. Whatever they, AWB, placed on my twitter page was considered strange activity. The feeds they placed, to me never didn't make any sense. Well, I'm banned from twitter which is a shame since I was really starting to enjoy this site as well. I even found a few people on there I knew.

Also, on automated wealthbuilder, I find that there is another cost which I would probably need, the in-depth training videos for the system, at an additional cost of $67. Now, I'm supposed to be paying $77 per month, and now they want me to fork over another $67 to get the videos. I don't think so. Now the trial does come with training videos, but so far I've only seen two, and they don't say alot. They don't provide the more detailed information you need to really understand what's going on. I need to mention, they do somewhere in note, mention, that you may get banned by twitter, just make another campaign. Now I got banned, after less than a week.

To be honest though, I did see an increase in traffic to this site, and a big jump in adsense revenue, at least big to me. I mean, 50 cents, is a phenomeal leap for me. But this was way more than that. So even though I may have inadvertently and unbeknownst to me been upsetting some people, some people were interested enough to click.

I have 5 days left of my 14-day trial, to definitely decide if I'm going to cancel or continue. I'll probably cancel, since (1)$77 per month to me is pretty steep, (2) got banned by twitter, and (3) they want another $67 to actually show me videos that explain what I'm supposed to do.

Now if you decide to try AWB, because I will admit, I'm not very good with alot of programs, here is a hint. Hold out for the 14-day free trial which costs $4.97. Then read everything there and I mean everything, especially the FAQs. Gotta go.

While I'm Investigating Another Stream of Income

I've read through some of the other SpiderWeb Marketing streams of income, although I am intrigued I am somewhat disappointed, not because they don't seem like good opportunity but that they seem a little harder to set up and may not be as easy to advertise. But I am going to reread, and then reread, and listen to the videos again. So far Global Domains, is about the easiest of the income streams.

To recap, have I seen the kind of money they showcased on their website, "NO". I've seen some money but nothing approaching huge sums of cash just rolling in. I wish it would, I could use it. Do I think you have the potential of making money with SpiderWeb, "YES"!! Why, because you are given the tools to try other things and to apply what you've learned to other similar programs.

I will be learning some of the other streams, to see if they are truly streams or just a trickle. I am particularly interested in the one dealing with taxes on your home-based business, and tax advantages.

I've hit a brick wall at the moment, alot of traffic to GDI, but no buyers at the moment. I guess they are window shopping. My Yuwie referrals are kind of slow. There are so many social networks out there now, I guess it's hard to choose.

But you know what, even though things are slow right now, the SpiderWeb Marketing System has given me tools to go out there and research other ways of marketing and other resources to make money. Things I would never have tried before I joined the system. Things I would have been afraid to try before, adwords, I know I've said this before. Now I get it, it's a negotiation thing with them. Basically, it's I have this money and I'm willing to spend this amount of money on clicks, they come back with a counter offer, I can accept it or not. If I choose not to accept the amount they want, I just go look for other keywords that will fall within my click budget. This is where SEO comes in. What's SEO? Search Engine Optimization. I would never have learned about this if not for the system. It's sort of forced me to go back to school in a matter of speaking. Search for keywords that will give me the best ranking on my site, determine if I can afford them, if not move on to the lower key words that provide traffic but may not be as popular or as expensive. I laughed the other day when I was doing my adwords budget, alot of the words had no weight and adwords could not put a price on the click estimates, so they were pretty much mine at the cost I wanted. I started getting searches on those words and suddenly adwords could put a price on them, sometimes lower than what I budgeted, a good thing. Some of them way more than I wanted to pay within my budget. What did I do? I paused the word and moved on, replacing it with another keyword, or waiting til my budget could afford it. I also learned that some of the keywords are seasonal, at certain times of the year, words that would usually cost next to nothing suddenly shoot up in price. Why because at certain times of year, more people will be searching using these words; i.e., autumn, halloween, christmas, anything with these words in them, decorations, clothing, party...etc. You get the idea.

Also, advertising on traffic exchanges, free classified ads, meta tags, and being a member of a forum. I like going to forums, reading peoples comments, seeing what other people are doing, putting in my own two cents worth. You meet alot of interesting people. The newbie who hasn't got a clue, jumps right in and doesn't know the product and can't answer any questions other than quoting the sales pitch from the business. The seasoned vet who knows their business and can answer anything. The spammer, oh yes, there are alot of those. What's a spammer, it's just a new name for con artist, con man, or con woman (equal opportunity you know). And then there's the rest of us between newbie and veteran. The forum is a great way to learn.

I've also learned a little bit about html (hypertext mark up language), I know enough now to be dangerous, to myself. I've learned a bit more about paypal.
